Electronics work on the principles of electricity and the behavior of electrons in different materials. At the core is the semiconductor, like silicon, which can be manipulated to control electron flow. Components like transistors and diodes allow for the regulation of current and voltage.

Most people had desktop computers, which took up a lot of space on a desk or table. Laptops were not as common then, and they were much heavier and more expensive than they are now. Computers in the 1990s were much slower than they are today. They also had much less storage capacity and less memory.

Devices work by taking input,processing it, and producing an output. They need a power source , like electricity or batteries, to run. For example , when you press a button on a keyboard , it creates an input into the computer and it types out the word you wanted.
Devices are used to make tasks more effiecnt , easier and less hectic , they help with communication , offices , schools , etc. They help us do what we cant using bare hands or normal tools.
The seven phases of computer evolution are as follows: vacuum tubes, transistors, integrated circuits, microprocessors, mechanical computing, personal computing, and artificial intelligence.
